| Comparing yoga mats |

How are our mats different from mats bought off the shelf at the Warehouse, Rebel Sport, Bed Bath and Beyond and your local $1 shop? This articles compares our classic sticky mat to off the shelf mats at a similar price. We tested mat thickness, bounce back, and grip. We selected a mat from 2 different stores and compared them with our classic sticky mat. The shop bought mats cost $22.90 and $29.90 Here are the tests that we put them through
1. We measured the mat thickness
Just because your mat says it's 3 mm thick - it doesn't mean it actually is!
2. Bounce back When you use a yoga mat the surface should bounce back after you take pressure off. The mat we show in this video cost $29.90. I wouldn't pay $1 for it. I'm a bit fussy about the mats I use (I'm probably a bit over the top to be fair
3. Grip A good yoga mat needs to have grip. Sticky mats should be sticky. The other mats we tested wouldn't unroll and sit on the floor evenly. Apologies for the shakey camera work when I was filming and trying to wiggle mats. I think the point gets across though.
We don't sell any old yoga gear. We only sell tested, guaranteed yoga gear.
